Ashley and I took Kaitlyn and Max to the Pumpkin patch to pick out little pumpkins. While we were there, we took their picture.

Back to Work Already :(

Well, it's that time.....I start to work tomorrow. I can't believe it's here already. I feel like we just left the hospital with a new baby. I think the only thing that is helping me feel better about going back is that mine and Kyle's parents are going to keep him this week instead of his babysitter. Not that I don't trust the babysitter, but just knowing that he's at home and that one of the grandparents will be with him makes it so much better. I don't know what I would do without them. I hope they know how much I appreciate them. He will start going to Mrs. Kristy's next Wednesday, after Fall Break. I have to take baby steps :).
Kyle and I started our routine for when I go back on Monday night. Kyle gets up with Max from 8:30 until 1 am, if Max wakes up. I get him from 1:00 until 5:30. It was a big adjustment for Kyle. That night, Max woke up 4 times I think during Kyle's hours. That is very unusual for him and the funny thing is that I told him he usually doesn't make a peep until 2:30 or so. That just shows you how unpredictable kids can be. The good thing is that if he does wake up, he just wants his passy and he's right back asleep. He's sleeping 10-11 hours without eating. He's such a great baby!! Well, off to work I go. I have 21 kids waiting on me to teach them and to help them grow. Please pray for our family through this transition. I'm sure there will be tough and trying times, but it will be well worth it in the long run.

Max holds a toy!!

We've tried many times to get Max to hold one of his toys. He finally did it today!!! I was so proud. I read in my What to Expect in the First Year book that holding a rattle would be something that they should be able to do in their third month. I'm glad to say that he did just that and he was even a little early. I knew he was going to be an early learner. I couldn't have been happier when he grasped the John Deere keys when I handed it to him. It's amazing that something so simple can make a mommy so proud of their son. Well, it did!! I know that this is just the beginning of me smiling from ear to ear when he accomplishes something. He is a blessing from God!!!

Max's 1st Boo Boo

Tonight, Kyle and I were playing in the floor with Wrigley and Max. Wrigley got excited and accidently scratched Max under his eye. Max, of course, cried and Wrig cried with him. It's like she knew that she hurt him. I picked him up and Kyle noticed it was bleeding. I immediately got up and went to the bathroom to check it out. Kyle put some medicine and a band-aid over it. He was much happier after he got some milk to drink. This is Max's 1st of many boo boos I'm sure.

Max Weeden

As you read in my profile, Max was born on July 4th, 2008. His nurse called him a little firecraker!! When people ask what his name is, they always look confused when we tell them the middle name. We usually have to say it 2 or 3 times and then tell the story behind it. For those that are wondering.....it came from Kyle's grandfather. His name was Max Weeden Williams. I never met him, but I know Kyle looked up to him. I'm sure he would be proud to know that his great -grandson was named after him.

We got Wrigley October 2006. She's been with us almost 2 years!! She is such a playful poodle and loves to cuddle. She sleeps between Kyle and I every night. She is getting more and more comfortable around Max. If he starts crying, she starts whining. It's so cute :). She sniffs him all the time and kisses his toes!! Wrigley loves to be outside. She has a fenced in backyard that she plays in. She chases squirrels and birds. We go to Shelby Farms where she gets to run free (they have a no leash part). We have gone on a several play dates with her friend dogs. She has even swam in the pond, which she had gotten sick from twice. No more ponds for Wrig =)!! We love her and couldn't imagine our life without her.

Max has 2 sets of loving grandparents. They are one reason for making this blog page. I wanted to post pics of him with them. I hope he knows how much he is loved!!!

Time Flies =)

I can NOT believe it is October already!! Max will be 3 months old on the 4th. He has changed so much since he was born. I just stare at him amazed at how something so little can make this precious baby. He is sleeping through the night now, which is awesome, and has now for about 3 weeks. This is going to be alot easier on me when I go back to work. I have a little over a week left before I start my 3rd year at Rivercrest. I am so anxious about leaving Max all day to teach. I have not been away from him for more than 3 hours at a time and very soon I will be leaving him for 9 hours. I know that he will be in good hands, but it makes me sad to think that I am going to miss some of his milestones. I always said that I would never let someone else raise my children and I feel like that's what I am going to do. However, I also know that I have to provide for my family and that is what's best for him. It's also time for me to be around adults again. I talk to Max sometimes about different things going on and he just stares at me and smiles. It will be nice to get a response from someone when I talk to them. Life will be interesting for a while until we get a routine down, but we will get it. I have been so blest to have had the opportunity to be at home with Max for this long. I just can't believe it's time!!!!

1st Post

This is my first post. I decided to create this page because alot of our family and friends do not live close to us. We are very close to our family, so it's hard being away from them. Max is growing so fast and doing new things everyday and I want our family to be able to be a part of it.
